Introduction
The selection tool in PicsArt is a tool which is used to make a selection to add special adjustments or touch ups to a particular area of the image. In this tutorial we will learn exactly how to use the selection tools in PicsArt.

Procedure
In order to use the PicsArt Selection Tool, follow the instructions provided below.
Step 1 : Open PicsArt along with your image.
For this particular tutorial, we will be using the image above which is of a cute puppy. We will be using the image above to demonstrate the end results.
Step 2 : Open Selection Tool.
Go to Tools>Selection ( the interface changes). You will now be presented with many of the additional tools.
Step 3 : Pick any selection tool.
You can now select any selection tool from the bottom preset such as Square. If you are having difficulties in choosing one, below is a brief description of each of the available tools.
(1.) Square/Rectangular : The square or the rectangular selection tool can be used to make quick rectangular or square shaped selection.
(2.) Circular/Oval : The circular selection tool is used to make quick circular or oval shaped selections.
(3.) Brush : The brush tool works the same way as the “free crop tool”. The brush tool can be used to make complex selections.
(4.) Eraser : The eraser tool is used to erase all the unnecessary selections.
(5.) Marquee : The marquee tool is used to make a selection by drawing an outline.
Tip : The plus (+) is used to add more selections while the minus (-) is used to erase the selection.
Step 4 : Make a selection!
Now go ahead and make a selection by choosing any of the selection tools mentioned in Step 3.
Step 5 : Move forward.
Once you've made a selection, you can now make many adjustments to the selected area. Such as, you can add effects, cliparts etc.
