Introduction
Dispersion Effect is an Art created using image editing applications such as Photoshop & PicsArt. The word “dispersion” refers to the process of distributing things over a wide area. Since we will be creating a dispersion effect in PicsArt, hence we will be selecting an area of the image and later distribute the pixels over a wide area.

Procedure
Follow the instructions provided below in order to create a dispersion effect in PicsArt Photo Studio.
Step 1 : Open PicsArt along with your image.
For this particular tutorial, we will be using the image above which is of a man standing on top of a mountain peak with his wife open arms. We will create a dispersion effect based on, as if he is about to get dispersed and vanished.
Step 2 : Open Dispersion Tool.
By default. PicsArt provides us a dedicated tool to create a dispersion effect by just selecting an area. Go to Tools>Dispersion (the interface changes).
Step 3 : Select an area!
Highlight a portion of the image by just brushing over the image. You can also adjust the size of the brush by sliding the button below. For this tutorial. We will be highlighting most of his arms as well as his back.
Step 4 : Disperse the pixels!
Tap on the arrow located on the top right corner (when viewed vertically) or on the top left corner (when viewed horizontally) to disperse the highlighted pixels.
Step 5 : Make some adjustments.
You can now make many adjustments to the dispersed pixels by adjusting it's size, angle etc. Below is a brief description of all the available options.
(1.) Stretch : The stretch options is used to adjust the distance between each dispersed pixels.
(2.) Size : The size option is used to adjust the size of each of the dispersed pixels.
(3.) Direction : The direction option is used to define a direction for the dispersed pixels.
(4.) Fade : The fade option is used to adjust the transparency or the opacity of the dispersed pixels.
(5.) Blend mode : The blend mode is used to add additional effects to the image by varying the light passing through the dispersed pixels to the original image.
Step 6 : Save your image.
We have now successfully created a dispersion effect in PicsArt Photo Studio all by just highlighting an area and making a few basic adjustments.
