2020 | How to change image background in PicsArt

Introduction

Whether you're trying to change an image's background because you don't like the original background or if you're trying to get into the world of image manipulation. No matter the reason. With the help of PicsArt Photo Studio, you can now easily change or play with Image manipulation. In this tutorial, we will learn exactly how to change an image background in PicsArt Photo Studio.

Requirements

For this particular tutorial. You will basically need to have PicsArt installed on your smartphone as well as few other needs which are listed below.

  1. App : PicsArt Photo Studio
  2. Image : Foreground - Beautiful Women in blue
  3. Image : Background - Brick Wall Background


Procedure

Here are all the steps you need to follow in order to change an image background in PicsArt.

Step 1 : Open PicsArt along with your foreground image.

The image for this tutorial is of a beautiful women. We will be extracting her from her original white background and replace it with our wall brick background image.

Step 2 : Tap on the “Free Crop Tool”.

Go to Tools>Free Crop (the interface changes). Now from the new interface, tap on the brush tool in the bottom toolbar and adjust the brush size.

Step 3 : Highlight your character!

Now you can start highlighting the main character by just brushing over the image. Once you make any mistake or if you've selected a wrong part. You can always undo the step or use the eraser tool to erase your mistake.
Note : The highlighted area gets marked in Red.

Step 4 : Preview & Save.

Once you've completed highlighting your image. You can have a preview of your work by tapping on the arrow button located on the top right corner of PicsArt. If you believe you've done right, tap on the “Save” button and your image will be saved as  a Clipart.

Step 5 : Open the background image.

You can now close PicsArt and reopen it along with your Background Image. In case if you've forgotten, that was the wall brick background image.

Step 6 : Insert the Clipart.

Tap on the “Sticker” menu from the bottom toolbar and select “My Stickers”. Now look for the image which we saved earlier.

Step 7 : Adjust the clipart.

You can now adjust the size, location as well as rotate the clipart. Do make sure to adjust the size according to its original image. This will make our edit as natural as possible.

Step 8 : Background Changed!
