2020 | How To Add Lens Flare in PicsArt using Lens Flare Tool

Introduction

Lens Flare is the reflection which occurs due to the interaction between the Lens (camera lens) along with the light. With PicsArt Lens Flare tool, you can create your own artificial lens flare which can look quite realistic. In fact, you won't even be able to tell the difference in the two. So let us learn how we can use the lens flare tool in PicsArt.

Procedure

In order to use the PicsArt Lens Flare Tool, follow the instructions provided below.

Step 1 : Open PicsArt along with your image.

For this particular tutorial, we will be using the image above which is of a camera. We will try to create a lens flare based on the camera.

Step 2 : Open Lens Flare!

On the toolbar, tap on the “lens flare” (the interface changes). You will now be asked to select a lens flare.

Step 3 : Select any Lens Flare.

Pick any one of your choice from the wide range of available lens flares.


Step 4 : Make some adjustments.

Once you've chosen a lens flare, you can now make some adjustments or changes to your lens flare such as Opacity. Below is a brief description of each of the options.

(1.) Hue : The hue option is used to change the colour (hue) of the lens flare.

(2.) Opacity : The opacity is used to adjust the transparency (opacity) of the lens flare.

(3.) Blend : The blend option is used to change the blending mode between the lens flare with the original image. Unlike the regular PicsArt blend modes, you get only three options. These are Screen, Lighten and Add.

Step 5 : Save your image.

So now we have our image ready. We can now go ahead and save our image by tapping on the top left check mark (✓) to save our image.
